Okay these are peach scones. Simple but delicious... I sampled them and ended up eating 3 of them, I think that may be a record for me in one sitting when it comes to scone eating.

Here's the recipe:

Dry

  • 1 cup white flour(all purpose)
  • 1/3 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 1 t baking powder(non-aluminum)
  • 1 t baking soda
Fat - 1/2 stick butter diced

Wet - 1 small tub peach greek yogurt

Adjuncts

  • 4 oz dried peaches diced
  • 1 and 1/2 handfuls of pecans hand crushed
Directions - preheat oven to 375 F

Mix dry into a bowl, cut in fat, gently mix in wet, add adjuncts, dump dough onto wax paper or counter and form a 10-12 inch disk. Cut into 8 equal triangles and transfer and separate onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. bake for abut 20 mins in the middle turning once , enjoy !
